Introduce the ability to assign a person to more than one department
We would like people within our organisation to be able to be assigned to more than one department. Right now people can only see OKRs or Smart Objectives within their department, this doesn't work well in a small company as people have objectives in several departments/teams. It would be great for people to see the OKR's of all the departments they work across.

Mark Seemann AdminIt's unlikely we would ever have the ability to have multiple departments per person but we could look at a "group" objective where objectives were visible to a group of people selected across the company.
Currently The easiest way to achieving this is either assign the objective as a company objective so everyone can see it or alternatively "share" the objective with a number of other people. -

Chris ElliottMark - would a toggle to allow users to see all other departments and a filter be possible? Even if you are in one department you should be able to see others.

Mark Seemann AdminA department toggle is possible providing there was a security setting which enabled customers to control this - for instance there could be 3 settings -
Off, Department level only Objectives, All departments user level objectives -

Pamela FonsecaI have managers from two different departments that report to me. I am just one of several managers in the organization with the same structure. This enhancement would certainly benefit all of us.

Ivey EltzThe are managers within my organization that manage employees under different departments. Right now, I can not see the objectives set by my manager because of these restrictions.

HannahThis is a big one for us. As we have several brands which have both an Internal and External team, the need for multi team view and permissions. The only way we are combatting this is providing certain line managers will the EVERYONE toggle. Not a great solution, but the only way we can make it work.

Mark SeemannFor everyone who voted for this I have a question - if we implemented this inside groups rather than departments (so you can only be in one department but multiple groups) - would this work if you had the ability to attach a group to a department?
