Reduce clicks and simplify objective updates

Objective update experience needs simplifying as the current objective pop‑up creates unnecessary steps. Users must read instructions, open sections, and select prompts before they can take a simple action like typing a progress update.

To improve usability, I would suggest:
- Moving the 'information section directly beneath the title so context is immediately clear.
- Removing one of the two 'is this objective completed' questions.
- Opening the progress section by default, with an active dialogue box ready for typing.
- Remove the requirement to select 'on track' etc if it is already selected as often, it doesn't need changing.

This would make instructions largely unnecessary so they can be removed too and it will allow users to focus on updating progress quickly.

Following the public inquiry into the Grenfell Tower tragedy, our industry has rightly become far more regulated. A central feature of these reforms is the strengthened focus on competence management. Several industry papers now reference five defined competence levels (A–E), which cannot currently be mapped within StaffCircle. Introducing a fifth competence level, even as an optional configuration for organisations, would not only enable alignment for my organisation but could also open doors for StaffCircle across the construction sector and its wider supply chain.

Improve review completion by simplifying the manager experience

There may be an opportunity to enhance the manager review experience by simplifying how review comments are added, reducing the need for separate pop‑up windows.

The review preview already provides strong visibility of:
- Colleague feedback
- Awards and recognition
- Reviewee’s own input

The pop up doesn't share all this information.

Allowing managers to edit directly within this preview, rather than moving into a separate pop‑up, could significantly improve the experience. This approach would:
- Reduce the number of clicks needed to complete a review
- Create a more intuitive and natural flow
- Provide managers with sight of all feedback and awards received without saving and closing and opening up the review again
- Help managers focus on the quality of feedback rather than system navigation
- Improve completion rates and consistency across review cycles

Simplifying the review journey in this way could increase adoption, support compliance, and help customers get more value from the platform with less effort.

Additionally the date you select 'completed' on a training objective becomes the date StaffCircle logs the date the course was attended which is affecting data accuracy.
In the Course Library view, the course category labels aren’t visible because both the font and our branding colour appear in white. I’ve temporarily changed the branding to another company colour so the categories can be seen, but this has also changed the sidebar colour. Because the sidebar text is black, the new background colour has significantly reduced contrast and no longer meets our digital accessibility requirements.

All of the category chips inherit the same background colour as the sidebar, which makes it difficult to choose a colour that keeps the Course Categories visible *and* maintains accessible contrast levels on the sidebar.

Would it be possible to update the Course Categories so they follow the same style as the other columns in the library? Alternatively, either changing the course category font to black or setting the sidebar background to white would help.

1. change the manager - this affects reporting and the org chart
2. create separate policies where the additional approver is assigned, this will be a huge task and could create a large number of policies
3. HR to update it - large resource drain on an already busy team

Following the calibration of mid-year or end-of-year performance ratings, we ask people leaders to discuss any changes with their employees and then update SuccessFactors (SC) to reflect the new rating.

If a people leader is unable to complete this update in SC, it would be helpful for the SC administrator to have the ability to make the change on their behalf.

This ensures we have confidence that the correct ratings are recorded in the system. If any HR issues arise, we can reliably refer to the ratings in SC.

Currently, we maintain a separate spreadsheet outside the system to track correct ratings, which feels counterproductive given that SC should be the single source of truth.

Hello, could we add the external system identifier to the reports already in Staff Circle for things such as holiday, skills, roles so that we have the option to anonymise the reports if needed. This is because sometimes we are required to provide reports as evidence for audits but currently have to spend some time replacing employee name with their system ID for GDPR so would make this a lot easier.
